I know exactly what you mean...I own several stocks, but I kid no one, DELL is my favorite...Several people at work have asked me what stocks to buy, look to me when things go south, and my answer is always the same - Buy DELL first, then build from there - hold, don't watch the price (watching price is good for timing more buys, that's it) and sell only when you need the money, or when/if DELL may sometime in the future stumble badly...and you won't know that until Earnings time, oh and one more I like to tell them: ignore the analysts who get paid to "guess" - Earnings "speak" for themselves (I remember the Kaufmann Bros. last year, what a joke - I'll bet they had to wear disguises to work after the following blow-out Qtr.)

I've got my GTC order sitting at the brokers now to pick up some more tomorrow.

Regards, George

Kemble:

I agree with you thT there is nothing wrong with Dell:

1. Analyst misinterpreted Tom's remarks. He only took half of the sentence.
2. MCD was upbeat at the shareholders' meeting. IF there is something negative, he would not be that exhuberant, otherwise those litigious lawyers would be ready at bay.
3. With less than 10 days in the quarter, there is no earnings warning. This is positively good sign.
4. AG was misinterpreted as usual. He always talks in circles. He says one thing about interest rates, but if you read between lines he indicated that recession could happen. The GM strike is costing GDP 1/2% growth every month. If that lingers to the end of the year, then 2 1/2% retardation (even more if compounded) could ensue which results into a negative growth of GDP. That would force the interest rates to come down to stimulate the economy. In the current environment, that wise owl AG would never say that he could see interest rate to come down. He would say the opposite!

Kemble, it is so good to read your positive attitudes. Your warmth and fresh air posts do sooth the uneasiness experienced in days like today.

And yes: BUY (MORE) DELL. I did this afternoon.

Best Regards,

A.

I remember their website was selling 1 million dollars of product a day. Now they are selling 6 million dollars a day. Sounds like they will be able to sell a ton of Bionic Men this year. Just think, there is no sales people to answer the phone for the order. It is just purchases upon purchases dropping into their laps. Sounds like that is EASY MONEY.
