Sounds logical so will be very interested to see if their upcoming yr. end numbers bear this out. We should start seeing some revenue stemming from the DEC deal. Personally I see no rush to buy before earnings as if they confirm your analysis there will plenty of time to get in and make money. If they report flat earnings and insignificant rev. growth we should be able to pick it up at a lower price.

but this was a very small business before Year 2000 came along.

That is reasonable speculation, though the counter argument is that the maintenance and software revenue streams from those old VAX boxes is high, and high margin compared to commodity NT servers.
