Wildstar, I think your theory is correct, but your price may be too high. AMAT is one I often buy at cyclical bottoms, but we are nowhere close to a bottom yet. And, since this is also a secular decline, we cannot expect roaring pc sales to bail out everyone in the chip sector this time. We need to see chip companies going out of business and that has not happened in any big way. So, until then, I won't speculate about the next upturn in the cycle. My guess is that it cannot happen until after 2000, as the spending to correct the Y2K problem will put a damper on net new spending in the hardware area.

I don't follow Asyt or Cymi closely, so I'd rather not comment on them.
