Hi Mark,
I agree with Gonzo. "The Visual Investor" is very good. It includes Support and Resistance Levels, Short vs. Long Term Charts, Trendlines, Volume Analysis, Chart Patterns, ect. He cover's many basic indicators like Moving Averages, Momentum, RSI, Stochastics, MACD in language even I can understand.......good luck........Bruce

There are many good books on trading. Elder's, "Trading for a Living," is a good primer. I'm still reading several such books since I'm just a novice myself.

In the interim, here is a great resource online to explain all the technical indicators:

Hi Mark, I like Martin Pring's "Introduction to Technical Analysis". Comes with a cd and a trimmed down version of MetaStock..I have not tried the tutorial as I don't like em in general. Easy reading. Lot's of wiggly lines to look at too.>g<
