John,
The Ozone Discussion should indeed be moved, however Jane has alluded
to a problem that we all have that directly impacts y2k.That is problem of the mainstream press - they arn't always objective in their reporting sometimes it seems that they slant or bias the news according to their own agenda. If the powers that be decide an issue is too difficult for us to understand or could perhaps cause panic ie. a cold January 1st 2000 with no heat then the press becomes less than honest. After all they wouldn't want us to take measures to protect our selves because it might cause things like bank runs or heaven forbid hoarding of foodstuffs. The media problem is certainly not limited to y2k reporting -CNN( CLinton News Network) recently reported
we used sarin gas on are own troops in Laos. You tell me good honest reporting?
