Tom, >>Any thoughts on MMV and MB's observation of the $3 billion shrinkage of INTC's cash reserve? I guess it kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it? <g>

On the serious side, Intel had to take delivery of some equipment during the quarter that has been put in storage for later use. Evidently some of their vendor contracts have no cancel clauses. I was looking at their burn rate also and suspect they should be able to bring it down with the cost cutting measures. It is going to be painful at this company until the chip market turns. I suspect Intel will be around when it is all said and done. BTW, I do not have a position in Intel at the moment. Owned the company stock for years. I worked with the old management when they were at Fairchild and had faith in the crew, we will see if the new generation of managers can perform.

T.M.
Mike is brighter, smarter, richer and better looking than I am. He's got more women, and his timing is better. He collected his stitches in the wrestling ring which pays better than collecting them from hockey sticks. Glad I agree with him. (g)

IBM is an accounting scam in my books. Their real business is drying up. Buying IBM for its service "growth" is nutso. Louis will enter the Accounting Hall of Fame for this caper.

Best, Earlie
