Ali - Re: But these words about traffic
at 0.18 and 0.13 are pure speculation on Mr. Brookwood
part. I do not mean to question his prior experience
in the field, but I am 120% sure he has NO idea
as what is going on in current labs....
I am much sure Mr. Brookwood never saw a
SPICE model for silicon gates and interconnects,
but anyway takes a liberty to talk about feature
sizes and traffic congestion.

True, Mr. Brookwood is an analyst at dataquest, so my guess is that he is only repeating what he was told, and since we don't know the source, he might be confused, wrong etc.

And I do not think the companies will waste
billions in R&D just to hype investors.

I don't contend it is pure hype. The advantages of
copper I think are very real. After all, IBM, MOT, Novellus, AMD and others are all moving forward.

I just meant the time frame is hype. I mean we've seen this movie about a dozen times. By the time IBM, MOT and the others finally get their act together on copper, Intel will roll out its version. Intel is working on it you know, they just say very little about it.
