From squawk box through prime time's late night reruns, we have CNBC on ALL day EVERY day... so we NEED to kibitz a little here on the primary CNBC market team. The best: Ron Insana - where Neil Cavuto was definitely a smart guy, he tended toward arrogance. Ron just knows his stuff and has a smoooth delivery - (even tactfully pulling his occasional Kernan jabs, tempting as that is at times <g>) More Insana! Mark Haines - witty, funny, incisive and you can tell he is a great dad. We LOVE Mark. More MARK Kathleen Hayes - very bright and quick, as well as easy - but change that HAIR back! (PS CNBC -don't let her go the way you let Karen go) More Kathleen! Ted David - You are smart funny and very polished! But we KNOW you are more than just a head, so let's hear it. A little more of your insight! David Faber - digs and does his homework. A little on the snidely side sometimes - probably still getting comfortable with the whole process. Follow Ron's lead, and DON'T pull a Griffeth. Renay San Miguel- Thank GOD we lost self conscious pretty boy Bruce. Renay fills the slot with smarts and ease. Do a weekly tech show and show us what you've really got. Maria Bartiromo- professional in every way. But the lady also has good content/commentary - let's pull more of that out of her. Kevin McCullough - A little hackneyed sometimes, but definitely HOLDS HIS OWN. The rest- Sue Herrera- talking head lightweight - unneccessary as she seems to have smarts - is it a motivation issue? Get on that treadmill girl and let's beef up on BUSINESS. Joe Kernan - joe joe joe. The blue hairs love him like a pet dog. It's cute that he tries, but come on guy, cut the silly rambling. Where Griffeth takes himself TOO seriously, Awshucks Joe needs to get down to business. Obedience classes? Tyler Matheson- as has been pointed out, talking head with weird voice inflections. Lose him. (Could we tolerate him / feel sorry for him? Sure. But WHY? He fits better in a format other than business) Bill (Peter Tork) Griffeth really bugs us. Something about his affect - too prissy/bitchy. Beaten up too much as a kid? - VERY insecure and often condescending (and cut the DJ "boys" gimmick - either of those guys runs circles around you - in knowledge, smarts, smoothness, humor and even looks) Bill wants so MUCH to be seen as suave (like Kudlow) but takes himself far too seriously for his abilities. Funny nasal voice inflections at end of sentences as well. Lose him and bring on someone more capable and comfortable like Insana or Ted. Kate Bohner - women are bugged by you (probably most of your life, and THAT'S OK), but beyond your affect, we know you very play hard ball (and we and Chris Mathews are more than a little intrigued <g>) Question is, do we NEED dish during market hours? Give this gal her own "primetime" talk show. If she likes politics, put her opposite Bay (speaking of which, what happened to Steph - who was the best thing to happen to CNBC prime time since Bay's brother made a fool of himself. We LOVED how she so easily makes Bay's mouth scrinch ever more tightly - yes Steph, it's US <g>) Pisano - geeky and goofy. Tries to get cute too often (cut the "William"). Bring back ROY! Chernoff - ditto. The rest don't really hit our radar. and prime - Brian is fast becoming the new Cronkite. No weird scandals Brian - we need heroes. Russert is ALWAYS good. Matthews - we're getting a little tired Chris - go rustle some cattle. Geraldo "Capone" - funny how hard it is to change an image. Glad Grodin is gone. All IOHO-- Guido
