"To discard all reason and logic for "faith" is ridiculous. " So why have you done it! Christians base their faith on eyewitness historical accounts of the life and Words of Jesus. The Apostles and dsiciples who recorded their words in that contemporary historical doucment called the New Testament observed firsthand the historical events they wrote about. They were also willing to die martyrs deaths rather than deny their personal experiences and observations. They backed their eyewitness accounts with their lives and established the integrity and honor of their positions. This is what I base my faith upon! What do you base your faith upon, Sam? The armchair opinnions of diletantes who invent their opinions 2000 years after the historical events? Men who have never demonstrate one lick of integrity or honor! What contemporary historical eyewitness accounts do they present to counter the claims of eyewitness accounts in the established historical document called the New Testament? Your method of arriving at facts and truth would never stand in a valid court of law. You want a jury to accept the hearsay opinions of your witnesses presented two thousand years after the historical event over the eyewitness testimony of men an women who saw and heard the historical events of which they speak. If your rational facaulties were still in operation, you would call that the " ultimate in ignorance" and lacking "all reason and logic".
