What's wrong, Folks? Dan? Anyone? Why is VLSI under 17 and where's it going next?

I bought back the calls I wrote (this morning, at a profit), but now I'm sorry I did. Gee, this looks bad.

Linda

Hashem,

Management did not provide any earnings forecast (of course) but in the press release they did indicate the estimated expense savings from the layoffs, as well as the one time charge for next Q3. I don't think that you can apply the layoff to GM, since they are related to G,A,S expenses and maybe some R&D. GM is calculated on fixed and variable manufacturing costs, and it seems unlikely they can pull anything additional out of there. Also I think your Q3 revenue increase factors should be +5, +7, and 10%. Let me know what you come up with! Jim
