JOE: You're probably right about that. I decided to invest $35 in Kauffman's book and see what I can learn. I also sent him an e.mail and asked if he knew anything about Cyberfax. I'll let you know if I hear from him.

Given how important we all believe Cyberfax to be to the future of DCTC, I think is behooves us to start learning more about the various technologies out there and how rapidly they are likely to be deployed.

Any company besides DCTC, and everyone would be talking about the company's products constantly. Here, we rarely do. We talk about the plague of selling which has gone on for months. We talk about our faith in our leaders. We talk about fishing, the weather, and golden oldies, but really very little about what our Company is doing.

We know that some kind of switches have been installed here and there in the world. But do we understand much about WHY? Do we know how we get customers to route their calls through our switches and over our
(presumably) leased lines? Sometimes I have this strange dream. In it, DCTC has spread a web of telephone lines over the entire world, but no one is using them. People are always using someone else's lins. weird!

Sorry to ramble. But I hope you understand what I'm trying to communicate. We have to know more about what our company is doing, and why, if we are to ever understand the investment potential. It's not near enough to assume that Joe Murphy is going to be able to sell the company for us someday. IMO George E.

If I remember correctly, DCI (who sold prepaid cards,) bought
(Montreal-based) CyberFax about a year ago. CyberFax was/is
an IP-based fax service bureau, downstream from UUNet. They
were putting up nodes in Asia (with everyone else) to egress
and sell fax there. I don't know if they are financially successful,
nor have I tested the service.
