The Dowman doesn't give up, does he. Frankly, I don't believe it about HIV2 and I don't have any sources. No company managemtent would tell anyone over the phone or over dinner for that matter the type of information dowman claims to have received. I seriously doubt the CDC would release them before an official report also. Ron's info confirms the testing. Probably all anyone could get without crossing ethics lines at the lab and at the marketplace.

The odds are against HIV2 being found period, much less being the endall for a test being released is remote in my view.

It sounds like from the AIDS conference political muscle will do more than anything. Maybe Clinton will throw the gay lobby a bone (hope he uses protection) and get rapid testing out to the public. Lives do depend on it, but the FDA does not seem to be responsive to that aspect of their job.

Ron, you've been too busy 'splashing' the enemy, take it easy on us civvies.

Dowman, surrender before it's too late.
