Marc,
Yes people realize the contracts are good...but until the perception changes...and the "good news" is looked at as future earnings...the stocks will lanquish.
If Fgii announces a new contract today...Is it looked at as keeping the doors open...or as the company is growing...thats what I mean about perception. We know and understand these companies. We own them and have reaped the rewards and suffered the losses. "outsiders" just see the continuing price spiral and all the talk about a glut of crude. Thats what I mean about "perception".

As to my comment of the low being here in August...I feel that sooner or later OPEC cuts will take effect. July numbers won't be looked at until August. More importantly, I think the possibility of a severely cold winter will start having an effect as the possibility gets a little closer. I also see Asia starting to stabilize once Japan gets its new Prime Minister. For any meaningful price reversal in crude, the glut will have to be diminished. Asia starting to replenish stocks would be a massive help. It would help if they're currencies stabilized and they had something to buy it with.

As to "LT's" reasoning...he may have other information...I agree with you that I don't see much more bad news...and in fact, the comments from the CEO's have been quite optimistic, considering. I just see that August would be the time to start looking forward to winter and by then anyone interested in selling these stocks will have done it.
