I'm grateful for your comments with respect to Korea.

I've been a radio amateur operator (HAM) for many years, and for many months, I've used my radio gear to establish contact with fellow amateurs in many Asian countries, in order that I get a more detailed picture as to what is really going on in some of the hard-hit areas.
It is a terrifying picture that emerges. Most North Americans have no concept whatsoever as to how badly these people have been hit. Our press has done a lousy job in covering the damage wrought.
Every time I hear some stupid and uninformed fund manager or analyst on CNBC serve their own interests by uttering the cruel phrase that " Asia is on the mend" or that the "Asian problem is behind us", I wish he/she could be sent over there for an extended stay.

Best, Earlie
