POISON PILL Agree to an extent, but depends on company. look at ballard power which was soaring when they decided to protect (austensibly) the shareholder.Am only speculating but it seems to me that because Aber is rightfully a takeover candidate it would not be in the shareholders interest to keep the suitors too far away.Perhaps that is why management were pressured to remove the proposal at the AGM.They are going to have to raise some serious cash within a year.Not an easy thing to do in this market.That uncertainty is more than likely why abz is trading well below NPV.
