My Phone Call to NCTi Today....

This afternoon I had a good talk with Krys Marushak, PR person for NCTi (e-mail is KrystynaM@ibm.net ; phone is 203-961-0500, ext. 391). Krys seemed to be upbeat and friendly, and very pleasant to talk with. The following summarizes what we talked about (**paraphrased**):

Q: Why was the shareholders meeting delayed?
A: Firstly, there was a delay in the filings of a few document. Following that, there was the problem of getting all the directors physically together at one time -- various directors had time conflicts with earlier dates.

Q: When will earnings be out?
A: They *will* be out on or before August 14. Most likely we will have them out *on* August 14.

Q: I feel that the NCTI stock price has fallen the past couple of weeks because of **preferred stock conversions**. Can you tell me if the current round of conversions is just about over with?
A: The story on the conversions is outside of my specific department; that's more in the *financial area* -- so I can't exactly tell you what's going on with them. But I hear what you are saying, and understand how that would work (that more conversions would suddenly start taking place when the stock price is down). Sorry I can't tell you more.

Q: Do you, or anyone else you know of in NCTi, read the Yahoo or Silicon Investor threads?
A: No, I don't, and no one I know of here does. I've found that so many crazy rumors are circulated over there that I just don't want to bother with it. If someone is serious, and wants an answer on a specific question, they shouldn't just try to get their answers from those boards, they should call me *directly*, I'm happy to tell them what ever I know (that I am allowed to).

Q: Over on the threads (Yahoo), people are complaining about the "puny" news announcement that just came out, about the Ravens headsets. Care to comment?
A: It's relative. That announcement is really *not* puny. It's actually a big deal for us, and it has created a lot of excitement around here (in upper management). The intended audience is not just the general public, but targeted specifically to Sports publications, and other niche markets -- those types of organizations are **really** interested in this technology. Our announcement has sparked a great deal of interest. I'm getting lots of calls for further information.

Q: Do you have any other *more generally substantial* news that is about to come out?
A: (Laughs scoldingly)
Q: Okay, just please look at your desk... what's on your desk right now?
A: Ah, tricky! Well, let's put it this way, there is quite a *large* stack of papers and assignments on my desk, and I'm trying to work through all these things as quickly as I can. Right at this very moment I'm putting together a magazine advertisement for our products that I think will look really terrific when it hits the stands.

Q: How do you feel about the product coverage NCTi products have been getting in various publications?
A: Ecstatic. We've gotten really good press. Discover Magazine. Washington Post. Audio Video Interiors. I've been getting lots and lots of calls as a result of these articles. Our PR department doesn't have a very big budget, so it is ever so much more important to get such complimentary coverage.

Q: What's next on the NCTi agenda?
A: Trade show in Albuquerque August 9-13. We'll have a 10'x10' booth showing our products and technology. These shows are really important to us, because through them we can reach the people that really matter to our business. They can come up and ask questions, and see what we're all about. And we have about three more trade shows lined up after that one.

Q: Anything else in the works?
A: We're now sending our Annual Report to our printer. It will be out by August 10th.

Well, NCTI shareholders, that's about it. I hope some of the above positive insights counterbalance the drop in share price the past few days.
