M2 PRESSWIRE-22 July 1998-ENGAGE TECHNOLOGIES: IPC chooses Engage Technologies' Accipiter solution for outsourced online advertising
(C)1994-98 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

-- Market leaders enter into three-year agreement -- IPC to use Accipiter's unique AdBureau turn-key service

London, England -- Engage Technologies today announced that it has signed a two-year deal with IPC, the largest publisher of print and online consumer media in
the United Kingdom. The agreement calls for IPC to outsource all its Internet ad serving and management process to Engage Technologies, located in Andover,
Massachusetts, in the United States of America.

IPC will take advantage of Accipiter's AdBureau, a unique service that enables companies to outsource ad-serving management without relinquishing control of the
advertising sales process. With AdBureau, IPC will be able to jump-start its Internet advertising services without the need to make large investments in on-site
hardware and software.

IPC will deploy AdBureau on its popular New Musical Express (www.nme.com), Uploaded (www.uploaded.com) and Yachting and Boat World (www.ybw.com)
web sites. Each is based on one of IPC's top-selling print publications. Together these three sites record six million page impressions each month.

"After months of evaluation, we selected AdBureau to manage the delivery, scheduling, targeting, and reporting of our Internet advertising," said Colin Tough, IPC's
publishing director of new media. "Accipiter provides an easy-to-implement, cost-effective ad management outsourcing solution that has already been successfully
deployed by other large media sites."

Tough added that the recent integration of Accipiter's ad serving offerings with Engage Technologies online Web visitor profiling technology was a factor in making
the decision to implement AdBureau. "We are interested in adding value to our interactive marketing efforts. The combination of Accipiter's advertising solution and
Engage Technologies' anonymous visitor data collection and real-time targeting applications will enable us to introduce behaviour-based ad targeting to our Web
sites if we wish, ' he said. In addition to providing online profiling technology, Engage Technologies, located in Andover, Massachusetts, USA, is also the creator of
Engage.Knowledge, the world's largest database of Web visitor profiles for use in real-time marketing and sales applications on the Web. Currently,
Engage.Knowledge contains over 19 million anonymous Web visitor profiles.

"Accipiter is dedicated to supplying customers with the latest ad management solutions. AdBureau is a unique approach to managing the online advertising process in
that it offers companies a way to get into Internet advertising quickly and easily with minimal cost and effort. Companies like IPC receive a soup-to-nuts ad
management service without sacrificing time or resources, allowing them to see immediate benefits from their advertising efforts," said Chris Evans, CEO of
Accipiter.
