I agree -in the short term a buy out is remote. Morningstar and Green Giant ARE recognizable names-but from a marketing stand point they aren't "hip" and have done little advertising and what they have done is very bland and BORING-straight product photo stuff. Gardenburger's soy product is quite good(my opinion) and the sell through in my talks with stores is excellent. This no fat soy"hamburger style" product is Gardenburger's second vegan product, has no fat and the most protein. The former cheese burger style is now labeled low fat style-not cheeseburger style.
I would be afraid to short due to possibility of a major Fast Food Chain taking the product on. On conference call, it was said that Fuddruckers and another chain has taken the product on. A restaurant chain up east called Hanovers (or something like that) sells more Gardenburgers than regular beef burgers (per conference call).
