Its really not an odd practice. Some companies have started doing this to cut down on the lost time. Lawyers and accountants have done this for years. Some doctors groups are doing this as well as large general contractors. Heck, even our own government does this (depending on the project). You have to look it from their stand point. They have a contract to do a job. If they must continuosly stop and answer phone calls from people asking when are they going to be finished then they are not doing the job in which they agreed upon and in turn could default on that contract (most contracts have a clause in them which stipulates that if the project comes in late then the contractor looses a percentage of the contract as a penalty).

It IS a common practice--one that Stagg also used--let's let MTEI spend their money on things that will help us!
