<<Lee, I have this funny feeling that when most PC buyers make the decesion on which box maker to buy from, The companies latest EPS report is not on the list of reasons to buy one vs another.>> Then what is? What computer do you own? Have you ever used or DELL, used their customer support? If so, you wouldn't have said what you said. Afer I bought my DELL in 1996 after being a lifelong Mac user all my friends bought DELL's. My family members bought DELLs. My co-workers bought DELLs. The Compaq's here in our office were replaced with DELL's. Everywhere I go, everyone I know, thinks of DELL as the only logical computer to buy. If you think that is bad, I can assure you DELL will have a stranglehold over Europe. It's continually ranked amongst the best computers, it's very reasonably priced, great support, great deals, great looking computer. Plus, everybody else has it...it's almost as if it is uncool to not have a DELL. THAT is why people choose DELL. Not because of it's EPS, but because when buying computers DELL is rapidly becoming the STANDARD. I say that without hesitation. DELL is the equivalent of NKE 5 years ago. Sure you got your Reeboks and Filas, and they had their time, but Nike is now and shall be for the rest of our lifetimes, the premier name in tennis shoes. When I buy DELL stock, I see potential. 10 years ago Nike had 15% of the shoe market, at its peak that number approached 40%. Those numbers sound remarkably similar to DELL. While I'm not saying DELL will capture that large of a market share, the POTENTIAL is there. Nothing at this point has led me to believe any differently. I'll leave it at that. Shorters beware; I'm damn freakin serious.
