>>Forget year to year. A year ago the stock was at 15. The street looks at sequential growth. Sequential growth was the same as last quarter which is good, but on a higher loss which is bad. <<

And also, I believe, on rev. from acquired co's--very bad. If this is so, just to maintain sequential growth, it took a ton more advertising expense, and acquired co's revenue thrown into the pot (for another large expense).

Interesting that AMZN wants to "for informational purposes" provide pro forma earnings (losses) w/o new company expense; but purposely chooses not to inform what pro forma revenues would have been w/o new companies.

Timoteo,
Revenue growth Q to Q about 32% could be achieved easily when sales in the range of 120 millions a Q. It is a big hurdle when sales in 200-300 millions or larger per Q except they give books and CDs away at more loss. Remember consumer number is limited and amzn faces several big guy competitors.
This month 11 analysts gave amzn 2.50 from last month 2.10, while stock is about 30% higher. I don't think stock price can fly at 130 longer, too much risks here for long term funds. Furthermore, insiders are looking forward to sell their stocks and the bigger float will bring down the price. Smart money will sell now and buy later at 80-90. Just my opinion.

Timoteo,

My prediction for tomorrows trading will be some wild swings in the early morning trading with a steady decline starting soon after with a close between $120 to $125!

Hank
P.S.-Another prediction of mine tomorrow will be, what ever it does the COMMON MAN BATEMAN will make money! For he will be long if it goes up and short or out of it if it goes down!
