Ravi:
That piece about fetal gender differentiation, its effect on females, males and Republicans and Democrats, is very funny.

Let me bring to your attention the 7 Chakras (way stations) to the final destination (Sahasrara Chakra). Indians categorized human beings into 7 classes or behavior patterns even before Freud thought about anal or oral fixations etc.
The following are pyramidal in nature starting at the base and reaching the crown. There are more men in the base and very few at the top of the pyramid.
Muladhara: Anal man. Knows only basic functions of gastrointestinal tract.
Swadhisthana: The genital man. He is one step above the Anal man.
Manipura: Navel man
Anahata: at the heart. The emotional Man.
Vishuddha: at the vocal cord: The vocal, literate, educated man.
Ajna: Between the eyes: The thinking and seeing man
Sahasrara: Crown of the head: The ultimate man. Only a pure Yogi can attain this status. eg: Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

The idea here is that man has to rise above the stage of a worm or a snake (eating and defecating) figuratively and spiritually via genital, educated, thinking to eventually a yogic pinnacle.
Man transforms himself from a mere human to a yogi
