Art being # 2 in PC sales has to bother LVG

As posted earlier , IBM was 2nd behind Dell in June and now MSFT is
considered #1 in software sales:

" Microsoft just gained a title it might prefer to keep quiet:
The biggest maker of personal-computer software is now the world's
top software company, period.

Microsoft's fiscal fourth-quarter sales of $4.0 billion boosted its
annual revenue to $14.48 billion.

That bumps it ahead of former top dog International Business Machines
Corp., where analysts expect software sales of $13.3 billion
this year.

MSFT meets the DOJ 9/8/98 , but there are signs IBM is not going to
remain # 2 at anything for long .
