"Dear Emile, I for one recall the things you mention in your post. " Sometimes we are not consistent and just in our dealing with men; we esteem some above others. I have often committed that sin. Let me tell you a true story that happened just two weeks ago. A large corpoartion based in Houston permitted us access to witness the Gospel of Jesus to their employees. There were approx. 100 employees in this branch. They were mostly machinists, welders and laborers. I started the evangelization by quietly speaking to individual employees. Then I started to distribute Born Again type tracts to each employee. After a couple of months, I began to cultivate person relationships with some of the employees. There was somewhat of a pecking order in the plant. The highest paid employees were the CNC machinists, then the fitter welders, the welders and finally the laborers. I generally had weekly contacts with the men I was evanglizing. As the months went by, several began accepting the Gospel or became very interested and wanted more literature. Some recommitted their lives the Jesus and of course some wanted nothing to do with the Gospel. During this evangelistic effort, I often prayed for individual employees and also for guidance from God to show me his will about individual employees. Experience over the years has taught me that our flesh often concentrates on the wrong things and individuals. Samueal had the same problem when the Lord sent him to annoint the son of Jesse as King. He looked for the tallest and handsomest with his carnal eyes but God was looking at the heart and choose David. Now I come to the point of this story. My last official week ministering in this company I decided to give all the employees who were interested some literature to further their faith. On the last night, I was standing talking to several employees during their brake and gave each one some lieterature. As I handed out the literature, I realized I wouldn't have enough to go around, so I had to choose which employees would receive the reamining lieterature. On my very last piece of lieterature --the 4 spiritual laws--, I had to choose between the last two employees. One was an old employee who I had talked to several tiems and one was a new employee whom I had only spoken to briefly and hadn't had an opportunity to learn much about his person life. I gave my reamining literarute to the older employee and asked him to share it with the new employee when he finished reading it. As I waked away, I was disturded in my heart that I had somehow neglected this young man. For the next couple of hours, I spoke to individuals and told them goodbye. Later, this young employee approached me while I was standing near another employees machine and asked if he could talk to me. I said sure and we walked a few feet away and started talking. He asked if I could possible bring him some literature later. I said absolutely. Then he opened up and told me his story. Abandoned as a child , sexually abused by realtives and finally a homeless sixteen years old drug addict. He was now ninteen and he told me that in the last couple of montyhs God had been revealing himself to him. He said he knew that he had to buy a bible and start reading it. I witnessed to him how Jesus had died for his sins and how much his heavenly Father really loved him. The Holy Spirit had prepared this young man and needed someone to give him the word of salvation and I had missed it. As I walked away after our conversation, I had tears in my eyes and asked God to forgive me for being so insensitive to the Spirit. The next day I went out and bought him a nice leather bound bible with his name written in gold one the cover and I inserted the pamphlet he had asked for in the box. Since this young man worked on 2ndt shift, I waited until approx. 8 p.m. to go over and give him the bible. When I arrived in his dept., I noticed there were few people at work. I asked the foreman if I could speak to Jason. He said Jason and many others had been layed off for three days when they arrived at 3:30. He asked me if he could help( he was a Baptist man who had recommited his life to Jesus). I told him the story of what had happened and wondered if he could give the bible to Jason when he came back. With watery eyes and a trembling voice, he assured me that Jason would receive his bible when he returned from layoff. We are truly in a spritual warfare everyday of our lives. Man often judges by the outward man, but God looks upon the heart. May the Lord Jesus fill you and your family with peace and love. I pray that your son completely breaks the chains of this world and find the fullness of life in Christ. Love in Christ, Emile
