Colby,

Don't trust brady. He is a snake in the grass. All his remarks are geared towards his current position in the stock. I will copy and post 2 Vivus thread posts of the past so that you can better understand what I am trying to say!

PS He probably took a large long position now that his tune has changed....again.

To All-
I've been sitting on the sidelines but Anaxagoras has woke the animal in me. First I'll recap my participation in VVUS. I bought the stock initially at about 22 and used my margin to increase my position all the way up to around 36. The day of the last earnings announcement I sat in front of my computer debating whether to take the 41 1/2 or ride it through earnings. I checked the board's temperature at the time and everybody seemed to be content with holding and so I chose to do the same. During the descent I held with confidence just knowing that it would come back until that dreaded margin call came at $30. I held until $26 after which I decided to cash out, pay my margin, and feel glad to have some money left. The humorous thing is that if I had made that incredible move and sold at 41 1/2 I'd probably be in the same position or worse today because I would have bought it back ten or twenty times since then. This has truly been an interesting experience for even the most seasoned investors, a group in which I don't include myself.
I've mentioned this before but it amazes me people believe on these threads and how blind some people are to those who are truly deceptive. Anaxagoras's post struck a sore spot with me when he suggested that all new people should listen to Bradpalm because his info. is truly valuable. The first encounter with BP1 for most of us was when he joined the board by attacking every long and telling us how foolish we were to believe that MUSE worked. After a time Zebra did some DD and showed where just a short time earlier BP1 had been touting what a great product MUSE was and how his patients loved it and couldn't be happier. His explanation was that he wisened up and now understood things much better. Well, the chameleon has changed from red back to green now and his patients are all of the sudden thrilled to death now again and VVUS's future is just going to be incredible. He obviously changes his tune everytime he changes his position in the stock. I only mention this because it might have an effect on the new investor when he/she listens to BP1's "medical opinion". Be careful who you listen to.
My outlook is very cloudy right now. There seem to be several things going on that just don't add up. I have no position, I would definitely not be stupid enough to be short. Has somebody said that before?
Mitch

David,

I treat many patients with ED in my practice and have been a fan of Muse since its release earlier this year (I've always been less impressed with Vivus' management style and marketing skills). I was, however, very impressed with the apparent sincerity of management's responses in today's CC.

Conceptually, the delivery system is first-rate and Muse, as a therapy for ED, it's VERY GOOD. As to be expected, patient selection, education and reasonable expectations are extremely important factors when evaluating this product's efficacy and patient satisfaction. Successful intercourse is certainly one objective endpoint, but it may not be the ONLY acceptable endpoint to a patient (take, for example, that unfortunate gentleman with severe cardiovascular disease who apparently died while using Muse. He was apparently a VERY happy customer).

I believe that the eventual release of Viagra will greatly benefit Vivus since so many people are now 'waiting in the wings' for this product and will be drawn into offices everwhere with high expectations. Certainly many will opt for an initial trial with 'the pill', but Muse will also be part of the armamentarium and possibly the ONLY option for many. Muse's future will be as a delivery system between the 'orals' and the 'injectables' with the hopeful transurethral administration of other exciting new vasodilatory agents such as forskolin, VIP, and possibly other specific PDE inhibitors. From a medical perspective, I believe the future is bright for Muse and Vivus.

Mike,

I'm always greatly amused when I read the touts of battered down stocks offering unsolicited advice like: "Time for the shorts to either cover or watch their profits evaporate".

While I'm certain that these unexpected spasms of altruism and compassion for the "shorts" are genuine <gg>, I also think that they're an excellent indicator of the degree of desperation of the poster and future negative direction of the stock price. Your thoughts?

Mike,

IMO, of course, Vivus will be neither acquired nor sold and that they're currently not selling all the product that they make. The shorts are aware of these "rumors" just for starters.

VLAD,

"the Street" is aware of much more than you think, but what makes you presume that they care about Viagra? Vivus will see 3 before it sees 15.
