Chris, I understand it's your thread etc etc etc. But why would an almost vertical climb for DELL and NASDAQ trendline being violated generate a sell. The fan theory clearly shows that a rapid ascent MUST slow sooner or later, then a continuation of the climb will resume on a 2nd, then 3rd etc trendline. It is actually healthier for the long run for this too occur. I think your original projection may still hold water. I have DELL for example pegged for a minimum 120 to a max 134 by earnings depending on duration of this pullback. Also, all stocks don't follow the same DMAs. my favorite KEA follows the 20 DMA and gets support at the 150 while most use others use 50s and 200 whatever. I understand for the rapid pace you trade you have success with your 5, 9 etc which is great. I guess my main point is this is a greed rally and until the fear part really kicks in, it will remain so. No one can foresee the market future exactly and you know I live TA. But I honestly feel that this bull won't die until 1. DELL reports, and 2. Goldman Sacks finishes it's IPO. 3. Asia goes into meltdown to wake everyone up from this fantasy. I personally am a bear taking part in a bull rally. I grant you there are NO, zilch, nada reasons for this bull to run, but that isn't what people want so liquidity is fueling the fire despite the most horrible fundamentals. We are going up because people want it to go up. And until they really get scared, it isn't going to stop. That is the reason for the disparity in the top 50 running while everyone else sits on the sidelines. DELL goes up, because people love DELL and it SHOULD go up. Doesn't matter if INTC isn't selling motherboards or CPUs, DELLS computers don't use them. MU can't sell RAM, but its OK cause DELL doesn't use RAM either, or the Hard drives made by Quantum, Read right etc. You get my drift. The sharp penciled accountants will make everything look OK come earnings time. I only pick on DELL because it is easier than other examples of which there are many. I a favorite of the street misses, its OK, the future looks bleak OK we'll over look it. A non favorite of the street misses it drops like a rock. When IBM stayed up along with CPQ, I knew this run would continue. I guess time will tell. Of course this is all JMHO Keep up the great work and despite how this post may sound, I actually think you are doing a great job, are one of the most knowledgable people in here, run a great thread and hope you keep it up. I always value your opinion and look forward to your answer.
