I am not sure what good an "acquisition" will do for SAP's web enabling. This, IMO, is a major re-engineering effort for their client software--perhaps a rewrite in JAVA or a really clever 3-tiered architecture. (That is what is so elegant about ORCL's engineering approach--the client nor the database software require little or no re-write by the application developer, including the customers and solution partners that wrote their apps using Developer.)
