Elizabeth, >> how come we're paying $1.259 in San Diego for a gallon of REGULAR gasoline? I believe our gas prices are the highest in the nation. Can anyone top our price?<<

San Francisco can. About a dime more.

If there's so much oil available, how come we're paying $1.259 in San Diego for a gallon of REGULAR gasoline?

Simple. Because we are among the most heavily taxed states in the nation. Practically the only reason gas varies from state to state is taxes.
