Shelia, thanks for your prayer and may I suggest one thing - if you or Steve is considering HD long, think about LOW instead. If you pull out all the stats, LOW is a better deal inch for inch. HD is #1 and LOW is #2 is their category. Yet they each have less than 20% of the market share I think. I would go for the #2 guy long term as #2 always has more incentive to outcompete so they can be #1. The best thing to compare the two is to put them up on the chart side by side and the trend and wisdom will show itself.

As to intraday chart, the one I like best is to look for a compression area for 2 hours. Take VRC's chart today for example, after the initial plunge, it stabilized and tried to establish a bottom. It did after about 2 hours and it began to crack through the resistence of this compression band, e.g. $16, after midday. Once that resistence is cracked and volume began to follow through it was up from there. Therefore, the best way to play is to put a buy stop at 16 1/16 - 1/8. I actually missed VRC but when I saw everyone had moved up and not FGII, I bought FGII at the market at $23 which should be a steal if I want to hold it till next year!

Another tool I use is the intraday BB where a crossover at the midline in a heavily (yes it must have volume) traded stock would signify intraday reversal point. INTC is a very good example for this exercise on any day.

Shelia, what's your take on SUITs? It seems like a DressBarn for men! Also, a while back, theStreet.com had a generally positive article on Jos. A. Banks (please spare me, as I buy my uniforms there!)

Sheila,

My wife shops EVERYWHERE <g>. Really, she does most of the shopping for the family, so I guess that supports the position that she does it cause she needs to, but probably likes to do it anyway.

At least at this time of year, one can stay cool doing this....
Regards,
