zsteve,

my most recent theory was all bad news are considered old news in relations to the semi eq group. Price will fall only if the market falls.

Well, the last few days have proven the theory wrong, at least for now. AMAT held up pretty well will giants like CA and HWP tumbled. May be the b-t-b and the Siemens news could be the last straw to start the descend in search of the real bottom.

ZSteve,
The implications of this move by Siemens is that now 64Mb Dram
prices will continue to drop as they ramp production. Looks like
Dram makers won't see profitability any time soon. There still needs
to be a shakeout of fab closures before there will be an upturn in
Dram pricing/profitability.
