When was MSFT ever a penny stock? It's a fallacy that is often trotted out by penny stock enthusiasts, but as far as I know, they closed at $28 on their IPO date. Do you have different data?

Point being, not MSFT of course, but that the penny threads bring a lot of trouble, shady crooks, ignorance, and yes&#151even locust plagues to SI.

Not sure what the return value is&#151the entertainment value of watching fools babble about secret short cartels, maybe?
