Trust me, I am not upset. As I said, ask anyone in October of 1987 if all stocks aren't speculative. I had 10K worth of IBM and watched it shrink to 6K in about two weeks. As I worked for the company at the time I can assure you that I couldn't find anyone who, having participated in the company stock program which offered the stock at a 15% discount, thought that stocks were anything but speculative. I don't think that IBM started out in 1987 and I didn't find a lot of folks who were willing to plunk down their money. IBM went from 130+ to 98 in one day and then descended from there to the sub 40s. It goes that way with all stocks. That's why they are all speculative.
