You indicate that "disingenuous" is the "best" motive that may be attributed to politicians' discussions of the "surplus." I believe that you are giving those politicians too much credit. "Self-serving and deceitful" is probably a more factual description of politicians bragging about the so-called "surplus." Best wishes, I2
