Jumper, I have heard of at least one company that is buying and selling URLs. Value depends on the name and relation to a business objective, image, etc. Better think it out, some of the names are going for low to mid 5 figures, in part because it might cost that much for the user to dream up an acceptable alternative - like a new car name.

Regards, DWW

I'd hire a lawyer or an agent who has negotiated URL sales for a 10 - 20% commission [perhaps on a sliding scale, like 20% of first 5k, 15% to 50k, 10% thereafter], and see what he can come up with. Particularly if you own other URLs you may consider selling.
