BView, you know you're right - love my Callaway clubs, but have bought none this year - my partner has tungsten tis and ELY GBB driver, but added Adams and Orlimar more recently. Do know people who have added X-12s (one is a pro who probably paid little, or 0 $$$), who love them. I'm considering adding X-12s: I would imagine they carry much lower profit margins, however.
I see they are spanking Adams and Coastcast, as well.

I've bought two this year; a 8 degree driver and a three wood. Both are the original War Birds, not the new models. I prefer an oversize head, but I don't want to swing a sledgehammer size wise. Prices on the War Birds have sunk like a rock this year prompting my buy.

I thought I heard on CNBC that ELY is saying that the ball business is on hold. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Expect to hear the buyout rumor mill to start up again soon with the depressed stock price.

Do ELY shareholders get any breaks on club prices? Just might have to buy the stock if they do this. Daddy needs a set of X-12 irons you know.
