Joe,
The price is still very high relative to the forward earnings
prospects. Also as was pointed out recently by Paul V. the number
of funds holding AMAT was somewhere above 300+, I believe. I will
try to re-post that info if I can find it. If anyone else has the
data, please post it.

"No one has posted that the number of mutual funds owning AMAT in yesterdays IBD increased from 367 to 368. "

Joe,
According to this site there are 985 institutions invested in
AMAT as of 7/22/98.
