Stock Chat:
LIZ - Liz Clairborne, looks attractive for bounce and/or investment after sharp drops the last few days. o bot yest at 40 9/16, stock traded down to 38 before rallying back to almost 40. Target 43-45.
INTU - Intuit, low 60s is attractive pullback. stock has been very strong, setting new highs, see move from 61 area back to 66 area.
PEP - very interesting announcements, first buying Tropicana for 3.3 b, then hinted yest at spinning of bottling operation to increase shareholder value and fund large buyback. look for quick snapback in this oversold stock.
VLSI - as Dan said yest, VLSI under 17 is a no brainer. well, i have no brains so i bot some (ggg) entry at 16 5/8, target 19-20.
ALK- plane closed at 53, very attractive on the charts, this area should be strong support and look for run back to 56-59. airline sector very strong, with lots of demand and low fuel prices.
LUV- Southwest Air - announced another 3:2 split (second this year), large boost in dividend, and said 3rd Q bookings were very strong. Look for LUV to break out to new highs. Stock was up in yesterday's debacle.
AOL, YHOO, LU - all look great for day trading. flipped AOL between 128 and 132 the other day. was a great quickie.
Market looking like strong rebound this morning with futures up about 5. good luck all. Larry
