Rumors etc........................ As a Vivus investor I did not buy because of any rumors of a buyout...but I can say that I have added more since they have begun... I own aprox 17,000 shares...this represents a sizeable investment and likewise risk for me... I bought because: 1) it was clear to me that MUSE wil survive in it own ED world as Viagra is not panacea for all 2) company had no debt and about 25 mil in cash.. 3) FELT THAT US scripts would rebound..this is beginning to happen. 4) international sales were about to unfold and be a major source of revenue.... 5) THe stock has been beaten down.. all the bad news is on the table.... Then recently: THey cut out all unecessary espenses...trimmed the fat for a profitable 3 q..new plant running and is more cost efficient.. demand is strong... THE product has an excellent efficacy and safety record and approvals for foriegn sales will continue to flow in... NOw...individuals who I have received other information form ..which has been correct ....are telling me of the buyout.. so I added to my postiion...I would add more here...except My wife would die from the stress..my sources have been adding to their positions as well.... not to mention that the analysts who are covering VIvus have been buying like crazy...especially Paine Webber..keep in mind there are """""NO new upgrades or reiterations""""!this is because they want to accumulate quietly at these absurdly low levels.....they are not going to upgrade...bigger shorts are starting to cover but slowly as well...they don;t want to scare the market and cause a buying frenzy... SO if you people want guarnatees..buy a toaster...there are no guarnatees....even If I told you Leeland told me himself nobody would believe it... All I can truly say is that my mouth and money are in the same place.. YOu make your own decision... Pizzaman,,
