Unfortunately, at this point I think some of the problem is that so many people are short the stock that it now helps prop it up. This stock just needs to quiet down and the selling will gradually gain momentum. I am convinced that this will happen. What better excuse could speculators have than the last great yearly comparison from previously low sales levels? That hasn't helped because there is the growing realization that this is it; that sales momentum has been busted and future comparisons will look gloomy. From now on the comparisons will get narrower and narrower and will eventually run into a negative quarter. My guess is that next summer will see negative sales growth - not just a decline in the growth rate to near flat that we will see this quarter. I am glad that I sold the January calls rather than closer in. Like money in the bank now.
