Bill presentment, that's what. Use the leverage they've developed thus far as a consolidator for billers to force the banks to play ball on the payment side. If I jump onto AOL and see that I can pay a half dozen of my bills thru AOL (with CKFR in the background) if I'm a customer of XYZ bank, and XYZ bank is right there as well with everything I need to become an XYX customer ON LINE, that's going to get my attention, and maybe even my money.

Good point. I agree with you, but you'll have to admit when Microsoft roles out there new portal later this year and next, that they will have a button with 'Pay Bills' that directs you to the MSFDC website. And while it might not be clear how this will work (a download of MSMoney or something), MS will do this, with or without the banks. Microsoft is one of the few companies that has a bigger ego than the banks.
