11:42 ET Amazon.com (AMZN) 132 7/8 -1 1/8 (-1%): DLJ analyst Jaime Kiggen says Q2 revenues of $116 mln exceeded his projection of $98 mln by 18%. Kiggen raising FY98 revenue forecast from $425 mln to $500 mln (+17.6%) and FY99 from $620 mln to $800 mln (+29%). However, based on accelerated brand spending and expenses related to launch of video category, firm widening FY99 loss estimate from $0.60 to $0.88. Citing discounted EBITDA per share, analyst raised price target from $125 to $175. Says investors should own this stock before September, as company approaches holiday season, stating that AMZN has more top-line revenue potential than any company he follows.

Would you be more bullish on amzn if its loss was cut in 1/2? If it broke even? If it made Money this quarter? If the answer to any of the above is "yes" then you should be less bullish when the losses are increasing (when you had thought that they were, in fact, decreasing).
