>>It's my understanding that Oilex' field manager died suddenly in early 1997, and was not replaced until just recently. This led to a great number of Oilex' production problems--there was nobody running the show!<<

This is simply not the case. Field management was in place, the field manager just recently died and Oilex has taken steps to replace him, they have been talking to a field management firm about contracting field management out. Also, the last oil sold only fetched $9 a barrel. The re-sellers are screwing the little operator right and left. With oil so low and an investigation at the State level going on into the oil re-sellers practices Oilex right now is going to sit on its oil rather than give it away.

As to swabbing: It has been a difficult learning experience to get the best swabbing practices in place.
