Maybe so. But you will notice I made those comments on
Monday, IBM had come in with good numbers, and nortel was
to report good numbers the next day.

What nobody knew was that Greenspan was going to have such
a profound effect on the market with his Humphrey-Hawkins
comments. The timing just happened to be on the day we were
all waiting for, Lucent's earnings announcement. Thus you're
prediction of sell the news was the correct one in this case.
I still say we'd have had a good pop had Greenspan not spoken.

BTW, I'm up over 400 percent on Lucent options (that money is in a
money market account at present) and up significantly on the stock (which I have no plans of ever selling), so if that's contrarian, I'll take it every time!
