Cisco fell 40% in the first quarter of '97, and that was in the midst of a bull market.

It was in the middle of a networking sector bear market in which analysts evidently decided that the era of networking was over and that we would start sharing files by floppy again. Morons. Most of CSCO's competitors took even worse falls.

It was a great time to buy. I own half my shares from about 2/3 of the way down that drop.
