1) How do you start a new thread without having to reply to the last "poster"?

2) I saw this on the Yahoo board and thought it fascinating if true: "I believe happened is that MSFT did not want Apple to deliver Live streaming video capabilities to QuickTime, because it will kill its Netshow kluge. IT would also kill Real Networks's RealPlayer because it not only provides better video, and superb audio, but it also does NOT require a server to do so, I believe. RealNetworks cannot offer RealPlayer content without a server.

Apple has said it will deliver live streaming media capability to QuickTime in the Fall. "

Can someone in the know confirm the realities of this streaming technology - this could be a company killer for RealNetworks (Broadcast.com) - This is a sleeping giant at Apple if true. Short Broadcast.com seems like a very real play or am I missing something?
