David, I believe SI has a new pricing structure since the last time you looked. It is currently $60 for 6 months, $100 for 1 year, or $200 for a lifetime membership. I suspect lentils only paid $30 per post.

My how I wish I had loaded up on memberships back in the prehistoric days when lifetime memberships were free.

Chances are he has paid by credit card and thinks he can just dispute the charges with the credit card issuer and not have to pay the registration fees. I'd like to be there to see his face if he loses his appeal.
