Whoa nellie!!!!

Clarify and sebl don't compete that often, sebl is DOMINANT in the very fast growing sfa business. It's a green field where customers are automating sales functions for the first time. I suspect sebl will be able to sustain its fabulous growth for a while.

The CIS business is a massive opportunity, perhaps as large or larger than sfa, but most systems are replacing internally developed systems. Since customer support, field service, dispatch and logisitics are also extremely mission critical, the decision cycles are longer.

Clarify is executing well and has a solid broad based product offering with functionality in field service, dispatch, logistics and contracts that scopus does not. In addition clfy has been beating vantive in this filed service space due to a real referencable installed base and their integration of BEA's middleware which allows rapid integration with legacy infrastructure.

This is a big market with room for several successful companies. Clarify's continued success does not depend on sebl's failure...or vice versa. Clarify is a very attractive valuation if you find evidence of their returning momentum, but the last time I checked, sebl's momentum is pretty powerful.
