TD,

I can guarantee you that DELL will turn in an excellent report and the only negative thing that you might find is the declining ASP. However, you will surprisingly find out that: 1) unit sales up big over last quarter, actually you can expect a blockbuster quarter...translation: stealing more business from GTW and other PC makers; 2) GTW missed the quarter because of a one time 2% increase in SG&A, otherwise it will beat first call by 19 cents. DELL's SG&A in line with expectation; 3) A 40%+ decrease in component price costs as compared with the same quarter of last year and a 22%+ margin; 4) entering server and storage business which will sure boost earnings in the future; 5) European sales up big quarter over quarter, expect Asian sales to pick up in the second half of the year; 6) Win 98 release boosts sales significantly in July......7) and the most important, anticipate a significantly better second half of the year and issue a stock split.

A 48 cents report is not bad, but I am expecting more of 50 cents. And DELL is a $$ machine.

larry!
