Bill, there just weren't very many trades that went off at 5/8 before the price fell below this as the price was falling.

But none of this really means anything if your order didn't even show as open until the bid was already 1/2. Although, I have never been able to gather from Datek if an order actually has to show as "open" before it can be filled.

Other people boast about there 1 sec at the market open fills and 3 sec fills all day. My orders dont show on my daily activity for 5 min during the first 20 min of the trading day. Its very possible that this just my experience.

I haven't seen many boast about fills at the open. I rarely trade in the first 15 minutes for just the reasons you sight. Datek is simply unreliable then. However, later in the day they are very fast; usually. Of course, today I did have another slowwww one. See my previous post to Peter.

Your own t/s shows the bid was above or at my limit order for 1min 1 sec . Are you saying this is insufficient amount of time to expect to be filled?

Tough call. Normally it should be enough time, if there was an ISLD match. If not, then I'd have to say it would be at best, a 50-50 shot given that the stock was falling hard at the time. Just my opinion.
