I just had the opportunity to listen to the conference call - very interesting, and my first conference call. I was actually somewhat impressed by the analysts. They sound reasonably intelligent and they ask questions that indicate a detailed knowledge of the company and industry, certainly more than I know. I am now convinced, and I believe Todd has mentioned it before, that these analysts are fully aware that their published estimates are way off. I find it hard to believe that all of us can know without any doubt that THQ will blow away estimates again, and the "idiot" analysts are caught by surprise for the 12th or 13th time or whatever it is. I think that their estimate is just a number they put out so that their firms can manipulate the short term price of the stock to their benefit. However they cannot manipulate the stock in the long term, and my impression from the call is that the company is in excellent shape and being run by people who know what they are doing and will stick to the plan to continue to build a very profitable company. I am very pleased with 37 cents, even though it was a bit less than my 62 cent guess. I own all the shares I started out with and I will have a lot more in a month. Onward to $55. Rugrats, s.r.
